Transferring Apple Developer Account Holder Role

How to give HqO permission to publish your new app

To let HqO publish your new mobile app and retire your old one, Apple requires that your organization update the Account Holder role in your Apple Developer Program. This is the only role with legal authority to approve app publishing.

Before You Begin

Make sure the following are in place:

• Your Apple Developer membership is active

• The new Account Holder is already added as an Admin in App Store Connect

• The new Account Holder can complete identity verification in the Apple Developer app

Step 1: Current Account Holder – Start the Transfer

1. Sign in at http://developer.apple.com

2. Go to Membership → Membership Details

3. Select Update your information

4. Choose Transfer Account Holder Role

5. Select the new Account Holder and confirm the transfer

Step 2: New Account Holder – Accept the Transfer

1. Open the Apple Developer app

2. Sign in and tap Accept

3. Complete identity verification if prompted

The transfer usually completes within a few minutes.

After the Transfer

Once accepted:

• HqO can publish your new app using your Apple Developer account

• Your existing apps, certificates, and users remain unchanged

• Only the legal contact for your account is updated
